We know that not everyone wants to have their noses blasted from their face when they use a nasal inhaler. The reason for selling our Snift oil blends separately from our Snift Sticks is to give you complete control over the power of the scent that comes from them. How often it will need replenishing will vary from customer to customer, but we find that to keep our sticks smelling perky we top them up every 2-3 months.
This will depend on how heavy a scent you want coming from your Snift Stick, and how often you replenish it. With reasonable use our 5ml bottles will last you at least one year though.
Our Snift sticks are made from aluminium alloy which keeps your Snift blends protected and in tip top condition. It should remain corrosion free, and short of some sort of catastrophic event, maintain its shape for many years.
To change the Snift blend you use in your Snift Stick:
- Take out the old inhaler wick
- Wash the empty inhaler (preferably with some washing up liquid)
- Wait for inhaler to dry
- Drop new Snift blend onto new inhaler wick (included in every Snift blend purchase)
- Place new inhaler wick into the washed inhaler
- Snift away!
Unfortunately, this is not possible as we receive our sticks branded directly from the manufacturer.
Our inhalers are refillable, meaning the essential oil blends inside can be accessed reasonably easily by simply unscrewing the inhaler. Although they are completely natural, these oils are very concentrated and can pose a hazard if not handled correctly – such as if they get into the eyes or are left on the skin for an extended period. As a result of this we do not recommend our inhalers be used by children.
Snift may or may not be suitable for new or expectant mothers. Some essential oil ingredients such as peppermint and rosemary can trigger uterine contractions, and others could potentially alter chemical balances in your blood which in turn may affect the make up of breastmilk. Always check with a doctor if in doubt.
It is advisable to check with a health professional to confirm your particular medication is not affected by aromatherapy products.
No, the oils that make up our blends can be an irritant. If you accidentally get any on yourself, you should wash it off immediately.
No. The Snift blends are made of oil, which will not dissolve in water, and may irritate your digestive system.
